Happy Mother’s Day! There is an Islamic saying that goes likes this:
‘Your heaven lies beneath your mother’s feet’

I’ve always loved this hadith. Simply because I value women. The phrase is beautiful and simple, telling us to serve and respect our mothers in order to gain one of the most rewarding of deeds.
It also reminds us of the pain and sacrifices mothers suffered while carrying us and delivering us into the world, as well as everything they have taught us in order to grow. This is unconditional love.
So to all the mothers and female figures out there, Happy Mother’s Day and Joyeuses Fête des Mères aussi! Thank you for everything.
