Poem/painting gift DIY!

Poem/painting gift DIY!

Today I made a quick and simple DIY gift for my lovely
friend. As you may or may not know, I love writing anything and everything.

However, I really enjoy writing poetry. And so, I decided to use watercolour
paint on cardboard (feel free to use any type of canvas or ‘paper’) and create a gradient background for a poem I wrote specifically for her:

It took about 20 minutes to paint and I waited a full hour for it to dry. If you’re using cardboard (like I did), be careful not to use too much water as this can distort its shape! I made two different designs below:

And after that, all I did was transfer my poem onto it using
an ultra fine tip black permanent sharpie marker.

And voilà! Note: this DIY cost nothing but my time… I
already had all the materials.
